As a contrarian investor - as the name implies - I adhere to a different approach to investing and have historically made some of the best investments during times of market fear and high-emotion. Many of my clients can attest to the thriving of their portfolios after these times.

Many financial services companies sell high commission products to clients, without explaining how they work. This contradicts my philosophy, because I want to be a trusted financial resource to clients and friends. I never have clients invest in something they don’t completely understand. If I wouldn’t recommend an investment to my closest friends or family, I won’t recommend it to you.

Since I am an independent financial advisor, I have no sales quotas or asset under management (AUM) goals like the large, mainstream brokerage firms.
